January must of had Wings!

Oh my goodness gracious, January must of had wings the way  it went flying by.  I can't believe that we are into February all ready.  I know that sometimes I do wish the cold weather was over, but I try not to do that too often because I don't want to be wishing my life away.  Besides, we have not had a bad winter this year despite the horrible cold cold weather we had the past week.  That was dreadful and apparently something we haven't experienced since they started keeping records.

Anyway, with the new month brings new challenges and I am ready for them.  Well, maybe not quite.  I am very low on embellishments, I ordered a lot last week but it will take a while before I get them.  I hate having to go online to order things because for the most part I can't get what I need here in Canada and that means I end up having to pay exchange on my money plus shipping so I end up paying almost double for what I order.  That really bugs me as I would rather just paying the price period.  I asked around though and the ladies at Scrap Paper Scissors gave me names of a few Canadian online stores and I found one that carries the kind of things that I like so when I have the money to make another order, half of my money won't be eaten up with exchange.  YEAH!!!

Okay, so once again the gals at Scrap, Paper, Scissors have come up with some very interesting challenges for the month of February.  I don't know where their brains are when I read some of these challenges, all I can say is that they have some imaginations for sure!  So this month is all about football-----  I HATE Football!!  Good thing the challenges aren't to make football layouts, just things based on football LOL

The first one I choose to do was: Super Bowl Party Treats Challenge, it was to draw inspiration from the posted image and from the image I drew the colours Yellow, Green, and white. I also took the banner.
I attended my grand daughter's Orientation Day with her, and took this photo while we were waiting for things to start.

I used Mother of Pearl structure gel with a Prima mask for the background. I mixed a little yellow pigment with the gel to get the right colour.
Then I applied it to the mask where I wanted it to be on the cardstock.
This is what it looked like when it dried.
